Dream Job

Is God amazing or what? He has literally placed this option into my lap. I have always wanted to work for a missions group. My mom and I "happen" to go and eat lunch at this new place in Allen the other day on my lunch break. We were sitting there and this lady came up and told my mom," you probably don't remember me." My mom did remember her, it was my brother's pre-school teacher when he was 3 or 4 yrs. old. We asked her what she was doing and she was talking about how she is a project coordinator for medical mission trips. I asked her if there were any openings or what. She told me that they were looking for someone, but that they were getting ready to close that done and decide. She told me to send my resume in ASAP and gave me the web page, etc. That evening when I got home, I looked up the web site and found the person she told me about. I left him a message stating m passion for missions, etc.
The next day at work, I checked my e-mail and the man had responded. He asked for my resume and asked if I would be able to meet on a short notice. I e-mailed him back and attached my resume and told him that I could meet at lunch time b/c I had an hour lunch. He wrote back and said he would like to do it that day. So, at lunch, I went and met with him. I really pray that this is a job for me! I would be coordinating mission projects. It is soo awesome! I e-mailed him today (no phone number) and asked if they had made their decision b/c he had said it would be a few days b-4 they knew. They had already narrowed the pool of applicants to 3 people, but he added me in too. He e-mailed me back and said that they would be making the decision on Wed. So, please pray for me and direction in my life. It's not everyday that your true dream job comes along. I'll find out Wed., what lies in my destiny. Thanks for the prayers in advance!

Loving It!

Ok, I am going to start this over, I pushed a wrong button. It's not going to be as long, but oh well, at least you can know what's going on my "Kimberly's World" at last. I liked the last version better, but wrong buttons sometimes find my fingers, especially when I am tired.
I haven't had time to write anything, so, I feel bad. I am enjoying my new job. I rejoined my home church, gosh, that felt good. I am now beginning to get plugged in. I know that I am exactly where God wants me to be. I have such a peace at where I am in my life. I wonder what is going to come next?
I have started reading this book that's called, The No-Brainer's Guide to what Christians believe." It's very interesting.
Kodiak is doing well and adjusting to the new place, very nicely. She stays at my parents house during the day. She gets soo excited when I drop her off, but she's very excited when I pick her up too. Her tail is just a waggin' and she barks. She is soo sweet.
I absolutely love my new apt. It's so nice to go to sleep listening to my chimes and not police sirens and ambulances. I love that! I feel safe and that's comforting.
We have a new singles minister at my church. He seems to be very cool. I really like how he teaches too. He took the place of Dom, our former minister. I think he is really going to grow our group in an awesome way. He is really funny and great to be around. His name is John Gibson.
Other than that, not much else is happening. I am just continuing to adjust to life back in the Dallas area. Of course, that doesn't take long. I love change! Life would be too boring w/o change in my life. Of course, we all know that I have TONS of energy and need to focus it somewhere.
I'll try to write more later!

Signing off,
Kimberly

All Moved!

Hello, well, I have completely moved and settled in for the most part. I want to say thank you to my mom for helping me b/c w/o her, it wouldn't have gone as smoothly as it did! Thank You Mom, I love you!
Thank you is in order to Sammie and Lindy who waited for the movers on the McKinney end after they left my mom and I in Fort Worth. Thank you!
I'm sorry dad you couldn't help, but it was very important for you to be with grandma. My grandma had a pace maker put in on Tues., but during the procedure, they punctured her lung a little bit.
Well, it ended up collapsing and they put in a chest tube...OUCH. She is doing better now and she seems to think she might get to go home tomorrow. We'll see, that's for sure. She's been in the hospital for 10 days now.

The movers were only about 45 min. late, so, not bad at all! YEAH, thanks Nick and Billy.

The whole moving process with the movers only lasted about 3 1/2 - 4 hrs. Not too shabby. I am so glad that it's all over.

We were able to get through every box in the same day. On Wed., we put up curtains and things like that.

I have officially started my new job. The first day was a little rough b/c there was so much to learn. I was bushed when I got home.........thanks for supper mom.

Today (2nd day) was not bad at all. I was busy pretty much all day except when we as a staff would take a break and chit chat some. Overall, I have had a good 2 days and I look forward to Mon. I think I'll like my job once I get it down. They said that in a month, I'll be doing just fine, so, I'll be glad when that month marker is here.

I am really excited, tomorrow morning at my new apt., they are having a brunch for Mother's Day. They are having someone come out to make omelets! YUMMY. My mom is going to come and eat "brunch" with me. Then we're going to go out and go grocery shopping. All I have in my refigerator is milk and some soft drinks. I can't survive on that......(c:

I am going to end for now, but I did want to update on me.

Mayfest 2

That was sooo much fun last night at Mayfest!!!!!! I want to go back next year if possible. Definitely worth the 7 bucks to get in. Plus, it supports a good effort in cleaning up Fort Worth.
We started off by parking at TCU and realized we were at the wrong stadium. Did I ever mention that they seem to have a hundred stadiums? Well, they do....(c:
We ask the security and he tells us where to go, but he seemed a little confused himself. He started over about 3 times before he got completely done explaining himself. Oh well.
Well, we parked in a tiny spot (not made for an explorere) and we were happy. We waited for the bus to come for about 30 min. or so. Got on the bus and road to Trinity Park.
We got there and there was a huge line to leave! (take a hint)
There were a few things we wanted to do for sure. There was a parrot show at 6 p.m. (way cool, just didn't get the man's jokes). We watched the bike stunt show at 7 p.m. (sorry Sam for you falling down and getting hurt) Sam was one of the bike stunters (is that a word?). He went to do a trick and he landed wrong and fell off his bike and he got hurt....OUCH! I hope he's ok today. They said he had only been bike riding like this for 4 years and only been doing tricks for 4 days........WOW, brave guy!
After the bike stunt, we went and saw the Jet Ski Stunt show. Boy howdy, that was fun! It was pretty cool. Julie and I sat there and kept typing in funny inside joke greetings on each others phones.......that was hillarious! (Julie, I still have mine saying Jack-a-lackn) hahaha I laught at the thought........(c:
After that, we ran for a few more min. to beat the crowd of folks heading for the bus lines.....LONG!
We waited for about 30 min. or so......not too bad.
We of course had to eat while we were there. So, we both love mexican food. We had Nacho Supremes! YUMMY. And we both had a thing of cookies and cream Dippin' Dots. We had a blast and the weather was PERFECT for it!
We got back to my apt. and she had never seen Without a Paddle (one of my fav. movies). We tried to escape from being seeing by my neighbor and got inside ASAP. SUCCESS at last!
We watched it and laughed through that too.

So, needless to say, it was VERY eventful. I'm ending for now, but till the next post.........2 more days and counting till I move!
