Hello to anyone who is reading this. I have now been blogging for 10 months, going on the 11th month. My friend Bonnie got me introduced to blogging last February one day when we were bored at work. So, here we are.
Okay, I told ya'll that I would tell what my life has been in 2005. I have gone from being confused to where God was leading me to following where He was leading me. Let me take you back to when I started graduate school in January 2004. I went to UTSA for 1 semester and I couldn't get the thoughts out of my head that I wasn't where God wanted me. So, after my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer, I moved back to Dallas to take care of her. I transferred schools and the whole year that I was there, I didn't have a peace about my masters. Okay, that brings me up to January 2005. I was in my 3rd semester of school and not feeling as though I was supposed to be there. I completed the Spring semester and May 2, 2005 - I moved to McKinney, TX. I started going back to my home church and immediately found a place to fit in. I rekindled old friendships and made new friends. I had a great summer of activities and found a great job. I am working as a project coordinator for medical mission trips. I absolutely love it and enjoy almost every day. Not every job is perfect, but I like it there a lot. God placed this job into my lap - literally. It's a long story, so I am not going to type it out, but just know that God's hands were completely around me finding my job.
The activities that I have done this year are: Mesquite Rodeo, Amateur car races, Nascar Races, Bonham Rodeo, Wylie Rodeo, hiking mountains in 2 different locations in OK, fished, hunted, you get the idea. A wide range of activies and I have enjoyed every single bit of it.
Let's see, I started my dog in obedience training last January and she did an awesome job! She has calmed down quite a bit and one thing that I had to break was her jumping on people. Thank goodness, that is gone for the most part. Now she just jumps and tries to kiss you, but doesn't jump on you. Pretty amazing dog - she'll be 2 yrs. old on Valentine's Day. In fact, as I sit here typing, she is asleep on the floor all stretched out - too funny.
I was commissioned into Stephen Ministry back in November at my church. I was very excited about that. I am also a volunteer at the SPCA here in McKinney. Kodiak is a little jealous when I get home b/c I smell like other dogs, but she'll be fine. :)
Okay, my next blog is going to be on my New Year's Resolutions - I don't have many, but they are important to me.
