YEAH!

I am happy to announce that I was offered the job. I am soo excited. I will begin soon and start learning the new position. I give all the praise to God b/c He gave the job to me. He literally put the job into my lap and I just took the initiative and followed the path that was laid ahead of me. Thanks to the many prayers that were lifted up for me. Thank you God, you're so faithful.
If you have any questions, let me know!

Kimberly

p.s. I am in MD right now w/ my nephew and new niece. We're having a good time loving on them. In fact, Caleb is coming home with us on Mon. How fun is that?!

Dream Job

Is God amazing or what? He has literally placed this option into my lap. I have always wanted to work for a missions group. My mom and I "happen" to go and eat lunch at this new place in Allen the other day on my lunch break. We were sitting there and this lady came up and told my mom," you probably don't remember me." My mom did remember her, it was my brother's pre-school teacher when he was 3 or 4 yrs. old. We asked her what she was doing and she was talking about how she is a project coordinator for medical mission trips. I asked her if there were any openings or what. She told me that they were looking for someone, but that they were getting ready to close that done and decide. She told me to send my resume in ASAP and gave me the web page, etc. That evening when I got home, I looked up the web site and found the person she told me about. I left him a message stating m passion for missions, etc.
The next day at work, I checked my e-mail and the man had responded. He asked for my resume and asked if I would be able to meet on a short notice. I e-mailed him back and attached my resume and told him that I could meet at lunch time b/c I had an hour lunch. He wrote back and said he would like to do it that day. So, at lunch, I went and met with him. I really pray that this is a job for me! I would be coordinating mission projects. It is soo awesome! I e-mailed him today (no phone number) and asked if they had made their decision b/c he had said it would be a few days b-4 they knew. They had already narrowed the pool of applicants to 3 people, but he added me in too. He e-mailed me back and said that they would be making the decision on Wed. So, please pray for me and direction in my life. It's not everyday that your true dream job comes along. I'll find out Wed., what lies in my destiny. Thanks for the prayers in advance!

Loving It!

Ok, I am going to start this over, I pushed a wrong button. It's not going to be as long, but oh well, at least you can know what's going on my "Kimberly's World" at last. I liked the last version better, but wrong buttons sometimes find my fingers, especially when I am tired.
I haven't had time to write anything, so, I feel bad. I am enjoying my new job. I rejoined my home church, gosh, that felt good. I am now beginning to get plugged in. I know that I am exactly where God wants me to be. I have such a peace at where I am in my life. I wonder what is going to come next?
I have started reading this book that's called, The No-Brainer's Guide to what Christians believe." It's very interesting.
Kodiak is doing well and adjusting to the new place, very nicely. She stays at my parents house during the day. She gets soo excited when I drop her off, but she's very excited when I pick her up too. Her tail is just a waggin' and she barks. She is soo sweet.
I absolutely love my new apt. It's so nice to go to sleep listening to my chimes and not police sirens and ambulances. I love that! I feel safe and that's comforting.
We have a new singles minister at my church. He seems to be very cool. I really like how he teaches too. He took the place of Dom, our former minister. I think he is really going to grow our group in an awesome way. He is really funny and great to be around. His name is John Gibson.
Other than that, not much else is happening. I am just continuing to adjust to life back in the Dallas area. Of course, that doesn't take long. I love change! Life would be too boring w/o change in my life. Of course, we all know that I have TONS of energy and need to focus it somewhere.
I'll try to write more later!

Signing off,
Kimberly

All Moved!

Hello, well, I have completely moved and settled in for the most part. I want to say thank you to my mom for helping me b/c w/o her, it wouldn't have gone as smoothly as it did! Thank You Mom, I love you!
Thank you is in order to Sammie and Lindy who waited for the movers on the McKinney end after they left my mom and I in Fort Worth. Thank you!
I'm sorry dad you couldn't help, but it was very important for you to be with grandma. My grandma had a pace maker put in on Tues., but during the procedure, they punctured her lung a little bit.
Well, it ended up collapsing and they put in a chest tube...OUCH. She is doing better now and she seems to think she might get to go home tomorrow. We'll see, that's for sure. She's been in the hospital for 10 days now.

The movers were only about 45 min. late, so, not bad at all! YEAH, thanks Nick and Billy.

The whole moving process with the movers only lasted about 3 1/2 - 4 hrs. Not too shabby. I am so glad that it's all over.

We were able to get through every box in the same day. On Wed., we put up curtains and things like that.

I have officially started my new job. The first day was a little rough b/c there was so much to learn. I was bushed when I got home.........thanks for supper mom.

Today (2nd day) was not bad at all. I was busy pretty much all day except when we as a staff would take a break and chit chat some. Overall, I have had a good 2 days and I look forward to Mon. I think I'll like my job once I get it down. They said that in a month, I'll be doing just fine, so, I'll be glad when that month marker is here.

I am really excited, tomorrow morning at my new apt., they are having a brunch for Mother's Day. They are having someone come out to make omelets! YUMMY. My mom is going to come and eat "brunch" with me. Then we're going to go out and go grocery shopping. All I have in my refigerator is milk and some soft drinks. I can't survive on that......(c:

I am going to end for now, but I did want to update on me.

GBY!

Mayfest 2

That was sooo much fun last night at Mayfest!!!!!! I want to go back next year if possible. Definitely worth the 7 bucks to get in. Plus, it supports a good effort in cleaning up Fort Worth.
We started off by parking at TCU and realized we were at the wrong stadium. Did I ever mention that they seem to have a hundred stadiums? Well, they do....(c:
We ask the security and he tells us where to go, but he seemed a little confused himself. He started over about 3 times before he got completely done explaining himself. Oh well.
Well, we parked in a tiny spot (not made for an explorere) and we were happy. We waited for the bus to come for about 30 min. or so. Got on the bus and road to Trinity Park.
We got there and there was a huge line to leave! (take a hint)
There were a few things we wanted to do for sure. There was a parrot show at 6 p.m. (way cool, just didn't get the man's jokes). We watched the bike stunt show at 7 p.m. (sorry Sam for you falling down and getting hurt) Sam was one of the bike stunters (is that a word?). He went to do a trick and he landed wrong and fell off his bike and he got hurt....OUCH! I hope he's ok today. They said he had only been bike riding like this for 4 years and only been doing tricks for 4 days........WOW, brave guy!
After the bike stunt, we went and saw the Jet Ski Stunt show. Boy howdy, that was fun! It was pretty cool. Julie and I sat there and kept typing in funny inside joke greetings on each others phones.......that was hillarious! (Julie, I still have mine saying Jack-a-lackn) hahaha I laught at the thought........(c:
After that, we ran for a few more min. to beat the crowd of folks heading for the bus lines.....LONG!
We waited for about 30 min. or so......not too bad.
We of course had to eat while we were there. So, we both love mexican food. We had Nacho Supremes! YUMMY. And we both had a thing of cookies and cream Dippin' Dots. We had a blast and the weather was PERFECT for it!
We got back to my apt. and she had never seen Without a Paddle (one of my fav. movies). We tried to escape from being seeing by my neighbor and got inside ASAP. SUCCESS at last!
We watched it and laughed through that too.

So, needless to say, it was VERY eventful. I'm ending for now, but till the next post.........2 more days and counting till I move!

May Fest

Wow, I am so excited. I am going to May Fest this afternoon when I get off work. I am at work right now and kind of feeling tired. I didn't go to sleep till after 11:30 p.m. Nothing is happen' at work at the current moment, so, it's VERY quiet and slow. Oh well, I will survive as I look towards the excitement that this afternoon holds for me.
I will write more later, I'm sure.

Prayer Request

Hi everyone, please pray for my grandma.  She is in ICU today.  Her heart was beating awkwardly and they tried to get it to pump correctly today, but her heart stopped in the process.  The dr.'s got it started back and they are thinking about putting a pacemaker in place.  They aren't really sure how long she'll live at this point, so, I think they're waiting to see how she'll do.  She hasn't done what the dr.'s have told her and she won't buy food that is good for her.  I'm not saying it's her fault, but she hasn't exactly helped the situation either.

I thank you for the prayers and I'll keep the updates coming.

Love,
Kimberly

p.s. those of you who heard about new niece, she is doing very well!  She's at home and gaining weight.

Grillin' Out!

Last night was so much fun. My best friend (Julie) and her dog (Cassie) came out from North Arlington to see me. We started off our adventure by going to Trinity Trails (Bellaire/Hulen St.). We were there for about 2 hrs. We went to one side of the trails and let the dogs swim. Cassie was a little hesitant at first, but I took my shoes off and took her in with me. She started having fun after she got used to the H2O. After that, we went to the other side of the trail and let Kodiak run free. There were alot of other dogs on that side and Cassie got to run free too. They had SOO much fun. Of course, all of a sudden, the 2 hrs. past very quickly. We were really hungry and still hadn't got the grill going. So, we left the park and came back. I got the grill goin' and Julie got the Guacomole dip done. We grilled chicken and hot dogs. IT was soooo very good.

After we ate, we ate Spiderman popsicles! YUMMY. We also watched the movie Tuck Everlasting. That's a different movie, but not too bad. It was kind of funny.

Anyways, that's all for now. Julie, I had a LOT of fun last night. Love you girl.

Job

Praise the Lord!

I heard from the company that I interviewed with last Fri. that I officially did get the job. He had called me on Fri. night to offer me the position. I took it of course. He told me that he was going to quickly check my references and he would call me Mon. or Tues. Well, guess what, I just got off the phone with him and my references were great! They all spoke very highly of me.

The great thing about the new job is that I get health insurance. I really had to find a job that would offer that b/c now that I am going to be taking a break from school, I won't have insurance anymore. Needless to say, God answered my prayers.

I'll tell you though, I was very broken last week when my mom and I were praying together. I did not know what God wanted me to do and then I found the job in the paper, applied, and got the job. He had to really take me to a low point before He showed me what to do next.

I am soo excited about moving. I'll be close to all my long time friends and my family. My best friend is moving out to Frisco (about 20 min. away from me) in the middle of May, right after I move. I am moving (as of right now) on May 3rd.

Well, that is all for now, I need to go and get ready for the day.

God Bless You!!

Hail & tornados

I'd have to say, I just got out of the tub b/c there sirens going off over here for tornados. I thought it was safe to get out, but as soon as I got out, another siren went off. I turned the TV on and I listened to what they were saying. There was a little bit of a rotation and lowering of the clouds about 5 miles from me. I had just gone through the storm and I had dime size and a little bigger hail. Kodiak was looking around trying to figure out what was going. When I called her and we went into the bathroom, she just followed like a good girl. She got in the tub quickly and we sat down with our pillows. Can't ever be too careful. Especially with the storms around here, you know?
Storms are over now and it's very pretty outside. The sky is clear and blue.
Maybe I'll take Kodiak to the park now. All warnings are over, I think. Of course, storms can come on very quickly w/o warning. I guess I'll watch the Weather Channel for a moment and see what's going on outside.
Well, I have more to write later, but that's all for now.

Later!

The Eagle has landed!!!!

Okay ya'll, so, this is definitely really funny between Beth and I. We were on the phone this morning (she works in security and I work in guest housing) while we were in our respective buildings and this girl comes into her office and says," there is an eagle outside and it's getting attacked by black birds." Well, last time I checked, we didn't have any Eagles just hangin' out at Seminary. Maybe they came to get some education! haha
So, the funny thing for the day is.............THE EAGLE HAS LANDED!!

Have a great day all! I can't wait to hear what you got to say about this Beth.

Good Morning

Good Morning,
The sunrise was very pretty this morning. I got to see it while I was opening this morning.......very pretty. Even though it is early getting up, at least I am blessed by getting to see the wonderful creation of our Lord. Like someone said the other day, how can you look around and not know there is a God? It's amazing to me that people think all this beauty just arised w/o the help of God.
It's sad to me that people miss out on the wonder and splender of God and knowing Him. I'm so glad that I believe, it gives me so much hope. Without hope, where would we be?
Hate to end this, but I need to work now. I've got some things to do.

B Class

Today was an exciting day for Kodiak and I. We graduated from A Class to B Class last week......how exciting!! Anyways, we learned the command down, left-about turn, and we toned our turns. We worked for 1 1/2 hours, normally only 1 hour. Needless to say, Kodiak was tired and ready for a BIG drink of water when we were done. We didn't have time today to go to QT and get a White Cherry Freezoni, but that's okay. H2O was better for us anyways.......(c:
Well, I am at work now, so, I'll write more later. I am anticipatin the arrivals of the Trustees of SWBTS anytime now.

Have a great day!

Parents gone

I spoke with my mom today and they are enjoying being down in New Orleans with my uncles. They took one uncle down and the other uncle lives there. I got to talk with my aunt yesterday as well. I just absolutely love her! Her name is Teri. I wish I saw her more, but she did tell me that I should drive down this summer with Kodiak and go and visit them for a few days. Maybe I'll just take her up on that offer. Works for me! I love road trips. Anyone who would like to go, give me a call....(c:
Question 1: How in the world do you add other people's blogs to your own blog? (short-cut)
Question 2: How do you find others' blogs? I want to see if I know other people on here and I can't figure out how to do so.
Those are the only 2 questions I have for now, but please someone help me out! I am still learning, but I can't figure it out. Thanks!!!
Signing off for now, unless something else comes to mind in a matter of minutes......OVER.

BEAUTIFUL

Wow, today has been an absolutely lovely day. I was out on the Trinity Trails today and gosh it was nice. I met an older couple while out there and talked with them while our dogs played together. I also saw my normal people who are out there with their dogs as well. The wind was blowing just right and the temp. was just right also. Thank you God for a beautiful day!
I am now at work, but I am soo happy that there are windows in the LDC that I can look out and still enjoy the beautiful day. I would rather be outside, but at least I still get to see it. I don't know what I would do if I were in a room with no windows. Probably go crazy!! haha

New neighbor

Hello for anyone who read this. I have a prayer request. I feel a need to start praying for this lady that I just met today. She has moved in a floor above me. I was outside with Kodiak and her little girls were petting Kodiak. She came over and we began to chat a little bit. I asked her what her job was and she told me that she was a dancer (a.k.a. stripper). I was a little shocked b/c I'd have to say, I don't know many "dancers." I would really like to begin to talk her a little bit about Christ b/c I don't know where she stands, but I assume, not a christian. Please pray that God will give me opportunities to talk with her. I would love to ask her if I could take her little girls to church, but since she doesn't know me, I'm thinking that will be no. However, all things are possible. So please pray b/c I really feel a burden about this situation. I can't wait to move, but I really hope that her and I get another chance to talk b-4 the move date. I'll keep an update going on. Thank you!
~Kimberly
