YEAH!!!!

Yeah for cold weather!!! The temperature started dropping Saturday night and our cold front moved on in. It was 36 degrees when I got up to get ready for work this morning. Now, 7 hours later - it has only "warmed up" 2 degrees. We have been holding steady at the 38 degree mark now for a while.

I went home at lunch time and put a few more logs on the fire into our woodburning stove; which is where we get our heat from. The dogs were so glad to see me and go outside to stretch their legs. I ate my lunch and now I'm back at work. It has been a very busy day and I needed a moment to break for a second.

Last night Les and I and Doris (my mother-in-law) went and saw the Living Christmas Tree at FBC of Plano. It was pretty! I really liked the lights on the tree. There was a harpist who was very talented and he played between 4-5 songs.

I am going to go back to work now, but I am signing off for now!!! :)

Mole Removal Went Smooth!

Thanks to all the prayers that my mole removal would be easy - well, it was! Everything went very smoothly and my husband went with me (I just love saying husband....hehe).

I ended up with 2 stitches and a TINY bit of discomfort this morning. I can barely feel anything, but I can tell that something happened to me yesterday. The whole procedure took honestly about 15 - 20 minutes. He started off numbing the whole area with a shot and I felt the first sting of medicine and that was it! He let that sit for a moment while everything went numb and then he started the cutting out procedure. I had to sit on the table and I didn't pass out or anything. It helped that we were all talking the whole time and we were able to keep a conversation going. :) It did get quiet for a moment when we 1st got started, but then there was no more silence.........hahaha

I did tear up of course a little bit because I was nervous, but once the shot was over - nothing phased me at all. I realized that I wasn't going to fill anything and was able to relax. I could hear some snipping, but that was it.

Just wanted to let you know of my good news! I am now praying for a cancer free biopsy; which it should be because he said the mole looked good. :) Praise the Lord!

Here is a group photo of everyone that I worked with while I was in Peru this past summer for 15 days! We had an awesome group and everyone worked so hard and efficient with one another. We had 95 people or so on our team and we were able to see 5000 patients. Sick :(

Well, I am home sick today. I was feeling alright yesterday, but today I started coughing up green stuff, so that's no fun.

I am at home with 3 dogs and they are all keeping me great company. Kodiak is laying on the couch with me and Lacy (my SIL and BIL's dog) is laying on the floor by me. Our other dog, Bear, wanted to go outside, so he is sitting outside somewhere. Who knows, he might even be out chasing rats - I have no clue! Les is at work and I am trying to feel better.

My brother and my parents flew out about 30 min. ago to go back to MD for a week. I'll be glad to see them once they return. It's always nice to have your mommy around when you're not feeling well. ;) I pray that the Lord will keep them safe in all their travels and bring them back here safely.

I feel like I should go and take a nap, so I will write more later if anything changes in my world........ :) :) :) :) :)

Mole Removal

Hello Everyone,

I am asking for prayer. I am having a mole removed off my neck this coming Wednesday; the 5th. I am a little nervous because I have never had anything like this done before. :( The mole has started growing a little extra "tag" or something and it is VERY tiny, but I can feel it with my finger and they want to take it off to be on the safe side. I don't think I have anything to worry about, but still a little scared. I'll try to get some pictures while I'm there (I am a VERY curious person)............LOL

Weaving!!

Well, last night at agility training my girl started to get the concept of weaving!! I am so proud of her because in the past she would start to weave and then jump out, but last night she actually went through all the poles. They were spread open so that she didn't have to "weave", but the fact that she actually went through all the poles is a HUGE accomplishment for her!! I was so proud of her and was SUPER EXCITED. We're starting to prepare for a Fun Match which I believe is in either January or February, so this is our goal. The Fun Match is being hosted by DAWG; which is who Kodiak and I train through. It will be low key and fun, however, we must get the weaves down because I am planning on entering us in a competition the early part of next year and the Fun Match will be a good test to see where her and I are standing together! Then we'll go from there as far as what her trainer says.

Anyways, I was just so excited and had to share the good news - I will leave you with a picture of Kodiak and I together. :)

Aunts, Uncles, Vehicles - OH MY!

Here are a couple of pictures taken from our house of some of my relatives that made it to the wedding from out of town - I appreciated you all being there and supporting us during this VERY special time in our lives!!

Here is a great shot of my Aunt Teri and Uncle Larry. They are Cajuns from LA (not Los Angeles, but Louisiana). :) They have their picture taken in front of our Blazer; which I LOVE to drive. Too bad it doesn't get very good gas mileage. ;)

I hope that you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving spending time with your family and friends. I am so excited about Thanksgiving and being able to see everyone and eat YUMMY food!

I am making Sweet Potato Casserole (one of my favs), Pecan Pie (with our fresh pecans), Fudge (by request), and a can of green beans (for my hubby). :)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

I hope that you have a great Thanksgiving Holiday! I am looking forward to it!! :) Les and I will be going over to his sister's house on Thursday for lunch. I'll be taking Sweet Potato Souffle (my mom's yummy recipe), green beans, and a pecan pie (fresh pecans from our trees).

Then on Friday morning I am going to go shopping with my mom, Sammie, and Lindy. We always go to IHOP after shopping and that's fun. Then we go home and crash for a little while before having Thanksgiving dinner together. Les works 5 AM - 12 PM and then we'll all be getting together after that!! It'll be a lot fun!! I am not sure what I'll be getting this year, but I am sure that I'll find SOMETHING that I can't live w/o out or even find a few Christmas presents!!! ;)

Tomorrow is my b'day and I am excited!! We actually celebrated my b'day yesterday and I kept it small. I had a few friends and family go over to my parents' house for lasagna (that is what I wanted). After church Les and I went out to the McKinney Trades Day b/c that is something that I wanted to do and we're looking for some old benches to put out under the trees and by the pond. It'll be so cute once it's all done and complete. That was what I wanted to do for my b'day!! Tomorrow I'll be eating lunch with some girlfriends and then another friend is taking me out to dinner (Les works till 8 PM or so). I am looking forward to tomorrow!! FUN TIMES!! For those of you wondering - I will be 28 yrs old!! :)

I guess that is all for now, but I'm sure I'll be writing more later in the day.

cooler temps - I'm loving it!

Oh how the weather has changed once again and I LOVE it!! I just love when the air is cool and crisp. I know that it's going to get even better as the winter is starting to show its face a tad. Our dogs are really loving the cooler temps and you can see it in their movements. They are very hyper and moving around a lot these days. Kodiak wants to play ball non-stop and bite my feet (she comes f/ a herding breed). Bear Bear runs circles around all of us as he is super excited to be able to run and play and jump. Man can he ever jump too - probably a good 2 ft off the ground!!! They're crazy dogs, but we love them and we'll keep them.

Last night they were both so happy to be in the house with Les and I. In fact, they both slept in the room with us. Of course, they were both so excited to hear us stirring around this morning as the morning sun awoke us. Bear was ready to go outside and stretch his legs and visit all his friends in the neighborhood. All Kodiak wanted to do was get on the bed with us; which she did as soon as she had the opportunity. She was so happy to get on the bed and just snuggled with us too - she's like a giant puppy!!!! :)

p.s. 5 more days till my BIRTHDAY!!! I'm going to be 28 yrs. old.......YEAH!! I am excited and look forward to an awesome year.

DL!!

Well, today I went and got my DL renewed and had the name change and address change done too - YEAH!!

I was so excited by this and wanted to share. Things are going great with Les and I! We got to spend time together this weekend camping and hunting. FUN TIMES!!

My birthday is in 1 week and I am SUPER excited since this will be my 1st b'day married!! :) I know, I know - I'm cheesy, but what can I say. I LOVE MARRIED LIFE!! It's an absolute blast!

The picture below was taken in NYC on our last day of our honeymoon. We got back to NYC on Saturday and then toured around the city all day and then flew home Sunday night. ENJOY!!!

Me just being goofy before the wedding. I was not nervous at this point. I did get a little nervous while I was standing behind the doors waiting for the music to start and for them to open the doors and for me to walk in. It was the BEST feeling when the music started and they doors opened and there stood Les. I just tried to stay focused on him and smile. I couldn't wait to get to him. :)
Here is another goofy picture before the wedding. You can see the design in my dress!! I loved my dress and when I tried it on for the first time and I saw myself - I busted out in tears! So did everyone else who was with me. I knew this was MY dress!!!!
This is my lovely Auntie Teri. I just love this woman and she is by far the best aunt ever. She was so sweet to design all of my jewelry for my bridesmaids, my flower girl, my mom, and ME TOO!! She did an absolute wonderful job and for that I'll be forever grateful to her. THANK YOU, TERI!!! You looked stunning in your dress too!!
Here is Les and I during the Unity Candle. My candle that I used to light the big one fell off the stand and hit my dress. Les picked it up and gave it to me and then he looked at my dress and gave me 2 Thumbs Up that everything was all good. We all laughed and it was a great moment!!!

This metal ring is so cool. In fact, Les hung it out on our front porch and it looks awesome. This was given to us by my parents. It says on the top "The Cornelius'" and underneath "Est. October 6, 2007." It is soo cool and looks great on the front porch. :) The Texas shape in the middle has a star cut-out approximately where Lucas is. That is where we live!!

Pre-Wedding Pictures

Here are a few pics from while we were trying to get all the preparations done for the wedding. It was a great 5 months preparing for the wedding. My mom and I had a really good time doing the prep work for the wedding and it all paid off and went so smooth!! Here is a picture of my father and I. Doesn't he look just so cute in a veil and tiara!! This was one of my dress fittings. I used David's Bridal and had great service.
Here is a really cute picture of my parents each kissing me. I really like this picture and even used it at the reception. We had pictures placed around the reception area.
Here is a picture of my 2nd mom - Doris! This was also at one of the dress fittings. She came to see me in my dress. We always had fun at the fittings!
I know everyone would like to see Les in his veil too.........hahaha This was actually my mom's veil that she wore in her wedding!! We put it on Les while we were cooking out one night this past summer. Isn't he just so cute?!?!
